Most traditional cleansing devices can only do one thing. They either extract blackheads or exfoliate the skin; the suction pressure is adjusted by hand, the fluid output fluctuates wildly, and waste fluid tends to spill everywhere. The Hydrafacial 14-in-1 packs cleansing, microdermabrasion, ultrasonic infusion, RF radiofrequency, microcurrent lifting, PDT light therapy, and ice hammer cooling all into a single device. There are dedicated solutions for dry, oily, and sensitive skin, and suction and water flow can be adjusted directly via knobs on the control panel, with real-time readings displayed on the screen.

We recommend doing this once every 2 to 4 weeks, aligning with the skin’s 28-day renewal cycle for the best results. Those with oily or acne-prone skin can do it every two weeks, using Hydro Deep Cleanse, blue light therapy, and high-frequency oil control and antibacterial treatments. For dry or sensitive skin, it’s best to space treatments out to every three or four weeks, using a soothing lotion and an ice hammer to minimize irritation. Don’t overdo it; even with the gentlest devices, the stratum corneum needs time to recover.

After each use, fill bottles A, B, and C with distilled water, set the vacuum and water flow to maximum, let the machine flush the handpiece tubing on its own, and drain the water; it takes just five minutes. Empty the waste liquid container when it’s about seven or eight parts full; don’t wait until it switches off to handle it. Check the O-rings monthly; replace them if they’ve hardened. Extra O-rings are included in the spare parts kit. Wipe the outer casing with a damp cloth; do not splash water directly onto the machine. The built-in air pump requires virtually no maintenance; as long as the noise is normal, it’s functioning properly.

A full facial treatment usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the combination of services. The Hydro full-face treatment plus deep cleansing of the T-zone takes about 10 to 15 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of ultrasonic serum infusion. RF lifting for the jawline and eye area takes 15 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of PDT light therapy while the mask is on, and finally, 3 to 5 minutes of ice hammer treatment to wrap up the session. Each mode has a countdown timer, and the machine turns off on its own when the time is up, so there’s no need to keep an eye on the clock. If a client is in a hurry, the session can be completed in just 30 minutes with only cleansing and hydration.

Do not wash with hot water on the day of the treatment; just rinse with lukewarm or cool water. Avoid using acid-based products, exfoliating, or shaving for three days; the freshly treated stratum corneum cannot withstand any additional stress. Sun protection is essential; use SPF 50 or higher along with physical barriers, as UV exposure can cut the effectiveness of sunscreen in half. Avoid saunas, hot springs, and hot yoga. Skin treated with RF or microcurrent therapy is prone to redness when exposed to heat. Stick to basic moisturizing and repairing skincare products; hold off on potent brightening and anti-aging treatments for a day or two. Makeup is okay, but be sure to remove it thoroughly that evening.
