The number of sessions isn’t fixed; it depends on the treatment area, hair thickness, skin tone, and hormone levels. For areas with thick, dark hair, such as the underarms and bikini line, results are quick to appear, and a visible reduction is usually noticeable after 4 to 6 sessions. For upper lip hair and fine, soft hair on the arms, 6 to 8 sessions, or even more, are typically needed. Because hair has a growth cycle and the laser is most effective on hair follicles in the growth phase, it’s best to space treatments 4 to 8 weeks apart.

Most people experience only mild redness and a warm sensation after the treatment, with these symptoms subsiding on their own within a few hours. Because the sapphire tip continuously cools the epidermis, the risk of burns and blisters is much lower than with traditional machines that lack a cooling system. A small number of people with sensitive skin may experience temporary hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, usually resolving gradually over a period of weeks to months. The risk increases if the energy level is set too high, if the client has recently been exposed to intense sunlight, or if the treatment area is already damaged. That's why a small-area test is performed before the full treatment to ensure there are no issues before proceeding with the larger treatment area.

Clients should avoid plucking, waxing, or electrolysis for 4 to 6 weeks before treatment to ensure the hair follicles remain intact, providing an effective target for the laser. Shave the surface hair 1 to 2 days before treatment, leaving the hair roots intact. Avoid intense sun exposure for the first two weeks; do not treat sunburned or peeling skin. On the day of the procedure, clean the treatment area and do not apply lotions, essential oils, antiperspirants, or similar products. Both the operator and the client must wear genuine laser safety goggles provided by the manufacturer, and there should be no reflective metal objects in the room. Before turning on the machine, check the water level, handpiece connection, foot pedal connection, and parameter settings to ensure everything is secure before beginning.

Avoid excessive sun exposure for 7 days after the procedure, and be sure to use physical sunscreen when going outside; otherwise, it may lead to hyperpigmentation. For one week, do not use irritating skincare products such as scrubs, acid-based products, or skin-lightening products. Also, avoid saunas, hot baths, or strenuous exercise that causes heavy sweating. For the first 3 days, wear loose-fitting clothing to minimize friction on the treated area. If the skin becomes slightly red, apply a cold compress for 10 to 15 minutes, but do not scratch it. If scabs or small blisters form, do not pick at them; allow them to fall off naturally.

After each use, shut down the machine and disconnect the power. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth, and ensure that no water or alcohol seeps into the interior of the machine. Disinfect the sapphire contact points on the handpiece with an alcohol swab after each client. Regularly inspect the sapphire lens for scratches and replace it promptly if wear is detected, as this can affect cooling and light output. The machine uses a closed-loop water cooling system. It is recommended to replace the distilled or purified water every 4 weeks; do not use tap water. If the machine will not be used for an extended period, drain the water completely. Also, regularly clean dust from the air vents and filter to prevent overheating alarms. If low water levels, overheating, or abnormal handpiece connections occur, troubleshoot according to the manual. Do not disassemble the machine independently, as this will void the warranty.
